Every now and then, of all the photos taken of our cheerleaders, one hits the spot. Michaela flew so high at the trolley derby, that even the birds were surprised! Thanks to everyone who came for the weekend, we really turned some heads.

2011 Squads Announced
This year, because our athlete role has grown (both in size and ability), we have created three new teams. We now have Senior, Senior Prep, Junior, Junior Prep and Junior Youth Squads. We also have a Dance team. Check the Class Timetable on the Classes page to see when your squad is training.
Please let us know if your name does not appear on the lists below and if you wish to be placed in a Pacific team. Also, let us know if you are not planning on doing the team you are listed on. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office.

This year we will also be continuing with our school teams. Stella Maris School and Long Bay College cheer squads were amazing in 2010, with a National Championship to Stella Maris, and a National 2nd to LBC. We hope these two teams will grow this year and make their schools proud of their on-going achievements.

Our Cheerdads are the Greatest!
On 10th December last year our cheerdads did the craziest thing. To raise funds for a new tumble track for the gym, they got dressed up in our uniform and wandered down Queen Street in Auckland. With a couple of our other cheerleaders egging them on, they did cheers, chants and pyramids to the amazement of on-lookers. They certainly were an inspiration to any cheerleader who is a bit nervous about performing!!
And at the end of the day, they raised over $1100! Far out! A special mention goes to Bodywise Fitness who threw in a large chunk of cash to see Dan in a uniform. Great taste guys!

Pacific Cheerleaders and the Prostate Cancer Foundation
On Tuesday 31 August, Pacific Cheerleaders were privileged to attend the Launch Party of Blue September at Sky City's Grand Hotel. We were invited to perform a routine to launch the new song "Moon Comes Up" – the official song for this year's Prostate Cancer Awareness month. Six of our senior cheerleaders (Josh, Ashleigh, Brad, Megan, Hayden and Holly) made up the squad, and Stefan, Chase, Martien, Debee and Selena were the support crew. The invited celebrities and business-people were very impressed by the team.
Early in the evening, the team were on hand to paint the faces of anyone who wanted to "Go Blue" for the night, and to our delight, most did.

Ashleigh, Josh, Megan, Hayden, Holly and Brad giving it Blue for Prostate Cancer.
